A little help for the journey.

Backlaner is an early UK-first navigation app. Here’s where to start if something doesn’t look right.

Choose the right place

Type a destination, then choose the matching result. Check the address before you plan the route. You can also type a starting point if you prefer not to share your location.

Report a problem on the road

Use the flag button in the app to report traffic, roadworks, closures, hazards or cameras. Check the location before submitting. Do not include personal details in a public report.

Check a speed limit

Mapped limits may be missing or outdated. Follow the signs on the road. When a mapped limit is displayed, tap it to suggest a correction.

Get spoken guidance

The sound control lets you choose all guidance, alerts only or muted. Check your phone’s volume and the app’s camera-alert settings too.

Understand route times

Times are estimates. Backlaner labels route comparisons when live traffic could not be verified. Max backroads may take longer: it prioritises more minor roads within a bounded detour.
